The stock market has lost 12% of its value. A year ago, that would have been a disastrous decline had it been spread over a whole year. The current decline took place over the past week. We are so used to the beatings that we don't even notice them any more.

ReplyDeleteI was laying out in my back yard with a few friends the other tuesday afternoon, soaking up the sun on a lovely 74 degree January day. One a laid-off teacher, one a financial analyst with no new clients and myself, all of us enjoying the fruits of the both the recession and global warming.
