Why France?

Hidden in Plain View
The US and France reached agreement today on a proposal to put before the UN to end the war between Israel and Hezbollah. The United States represented Israel in the negotiation because the US supports Israel as a friend and ally. What does that say about France and Hezbollah?

I think that it means that we all need to work together to end this conflict.
Every day in the paper or in magazines, I read mocking cartoons or snide comments about France. Even in Reader's Digest for heaven's sake!
Most of these comments (and this attitude) stem from the O'Reilly "boycott" of France because for once France did not blindly follow the U.S. Do "Freedom Fries" ring a bell?
Of course, Germany and Russia did not blindly follow the U.S. into Iraq and O'Reilly didn't say anything about them.
Someone has to sit at the table and talk things out rationally. Hezbollah and Lebanon are not synonymous, just as Bush and America are not...
