  2. I don't know any more about it than what's in the video. One could search on "3D printing" and see what comes up.

    I just crossed the continental divide between the Pacific and Arctic Ocean watersheds today. It should have been a minor tourist factoid but somehow it was exhilarating.

  4. Yup, it's real. There are bunches of manufacturers....who make the machine...including a machine called the Candy Fab that creates its images in sugar! The objects usually are designed in CAD files then produced in plastic. There are also 3D printers that can reproduce themselves....how surreal.

    I like the idea of replicating tools, but what about the guy in the office who might use such a copier for "moon shots", or worse...!??
