More Profundity

There are two great things I have learned about my life. One is that almost all disasters are self-inflicted. The second is that knowing that they are doesn't change anything. So it really doesn't matter what I do. It will all turn out the same anyway. Not because fate makes it that way, but because I make it that way. Someone once wrote that the one thing all my failed relationships have had in common has been me. I am the one person and situation I can never get away from. Like Popeye and Hashem, I yam what I yam.

Not all of your relationships are failed. We've known each other almost fifty year.
